Question about credit… If a negative item is in dispute will it still count against someone when applying for a loan?

When you dispute something on your credit - the item does still affect you applying for a loan. For Example if you have a collection dispute, on your credit report it would say item in dispute. If in fact the loan program you are applying for does not allow collections - a resolution would need to be presented in writing from the creditor showing either remove or balance due.
